#Mommyreality
It feel like an age since I participated in the Mommy Reality Challenge, but I only missed one week! And the last one I got to help co host, which was fun,
For anyone who doesn’t know the #mommyreality Challenge is a weekly photographic challenge set for us Mums by Jen and Celeste. It’s all done in the name of fun and no Mums are left hurt or offended…Or at least I hope not! Over the past seventeen weeks Mums have been asked to share photographs of food faces, the essence of summer and left over dinners and it’s been interesting!
If your picture gets voted the best, not only do Jen and Celeste turn it into a Meme, you also get to co-host one of the #mommyreality linkups! Now isn’t that worth linking up for?
Now for my entry into this weeks #mommyreality Challenge...
Bed Cushions…
This weeks challenge is to take a photograph of the pillows on our beds. And here is my rather sad looking entry…
As you may notice I am not big on pillows. Oh there was a time when we had piles of cushions on the bed, but not any more. Many years ago I loved a bed full of pillows, but I soon realised that they were a pain in the bum.
I hated having to take them all off the bed at night, only to have to put them back on again when I made the bed the next morning. And Hubby Dearest was always moaning about where to put them. It’s not as if anyone even saw the pile of nicely laid out pillows! So we got rid of all but four pillows for sleeping with which was more than enough.
Then a couple of years ago I started getting bad neck ache that just wouldn’t go away, so as a last resort I invested in a natural rubber pillow that is designed to support the neck and I have never looked back; my neck pain went away and has never come back. Since then I have only used that one pillow to sleep with, after a life time of not being able to sleep flat!..But it’s soooo comfortable!
My husband still sleeps with two pillows and we have also acquired two cylindrical bean bag like pillows, that are designed to mould to your head for when we read in bed – so comfy too!
You may notice that two lumps near to the bottom of the bed, which are leg pillows, which at first my husband started to use as his legs get very tired in the summer as he’s on his feet all day and I got one on the advise of the physiotherapist I was seeing when I tore a calf muscle. Now I like sleeping with mine as it makes my legs feel fresher in the morning.
So that’s my entry for this weeks #mommyreality link up. What’s yours?
I hope you enjoyed my post. The Mommy Reality Challenge is just a bit of fun, so why don’t you pop over and check out what other Mums are sharing?
