The New Year Is The Chance To Start Afresh…
As much as I love Christmas, by the time the New Year comes I feel ready to leave the festivities behind and start the New Year afresh.
I love the feeling waking up on January 1st with a while new year ahead. I’m not big fan of making new year resolutions, but I do like the thought of starting a new year afresh; a fresh outlook, new energy, new challenges, new ideas.
Have You Ever Noticed…
How January 1st feels?…Or is that just me?
Even though December 31st can have me feeling a little sad as I reflect over the year just gone, stepping outside for the first time on January 1st makes me feel like anything is possible (I’m not a big drinker, which probably plays a big part in that!).
I feel fresh, strong and positive. Feelings that I try to hang on too throughout the year even when life throws curve balls; which it inevitably does!
At The Start Of The Week…
I was feeling exhausted from too many late nights, juggling too much and from eating too much. Being an early bird by nature I still wake up early no matter how late I go to bed and suffer for it later in the day and my digestive system has taken a battering from all the Christmas goodies that I love too much not to eat.
Now At The End Of The Week…
I feel good. I feel good at the prospects the new year has to offer and I feel slightly relieved that I have a good eleven months until the next festive season
How does the new year make you feel? Do you like the feeling of what a new year can offer; the chance to start afresh?
Well, that’s my first Word Of The Week for 2015. Word Of The Week (#WotW) is hosted by Jocelyn over on her blog The Reading Residence. Why don’t you pop over and check it out?
