Sunday Hike Near Agalas – Through My Lens
We are in strange and unsettling times indeed. The whole world is taking a step back and life is standing still. All a little surreal! Our group walks have been cancelled until further notice and I don’t expect us to walk together again this side of summer…

On the upside, I have folders of photos that have yet to see the light of day. At a time when many people aren’t venturing out, it seems the perfect time to share hiking photos. Blue skies, green landscapes and beautiful scenery will always make us feel better. It’s just a shame I can’t embed them with the sounds of nature!
Come join us on a Sunday hike near Agalas… Through my lens…
A Sunday Hike Near Agalas, Zakynthos
Through My Lens…

Constantly coming with new hikes on an island is a challenge so was a hike near Agalas rather than around Agalas.

The dogs love the freedom of our Sunday hikes too.
The burned trees make interesting subjects.

There are some characters in the walking group!

I love seeing things like this piece of land that has been tended and planted in the middle of nowhere!

Hiking any distance on Zakynthos usually means a sea view at some point!

The village of Agalas from a distance. The sun was trying to make its appearance.

What fun is a hike without a hill or two?
Picnic Time!…

It is quite possible that some of us only hike for the picnic spots.
Walking in nature means we're never short of the perfect picnic spot. #throughmylens #zante Click To Tweet
Would you believe this was back in February? I don’t believe I could survive a winter in the UK anymore.

There’s always someone who doesn’t stop at a junction. One of these two was miles down the wrong trail.

What I would give to have one of these in our garden. A she-shed of sorts just for me! Not sure a cast iron wood burner would be a good idea in there for the winter, though?

What can I say? Except it’s Zakynthos at her best.

There’s no point in hiking if you don’t take a moment to appreciate the view.

This trail may not look steep, but it felt as if it went on forever.

Sometimes we have to go off-trail and we love it!

The spring flowers on Zakynthos are a sight to behold. Fields of pinks, whites and yellows.

Back at the cars after another fun hike.
Where have you walked recently?
If you are ever on Zakynthos and would like to witness the most beautiful sunset over the sea then Agalas is the place to go.
If you enjoyed this hike check out our hike from Agalas to Keri and back.
