It’s that time of year when everywhere we look there seems to be new life. It’s something I’m sure none of us gets sick of seeing.
Back along I shared a photo of a newborn goat still attached to it’s Mum, I’m sure that goat is twice the size by now. These baby goats are a bit older and looking as curiously at us as we are at them. I wonder what they are thinking?
What struck me about this photo is the way the two kids seem to mirror one another. You could even say the faces of the big goats are too.
Can I let you in on a secret?… Promise you won’t laugh?… Sheep and goats make me quite nervous. I find their eyes with their funny elongated pupils quite unsettling. I’m wary when having to pass by any loose ones and much prefer a fence between me and them… I can hear you sniggering!… You promised!
I have a vague memory of staying at a friends house as a child (they lived on a farm) and of being chased by two frisky goats (or lambs). That could be where my nervousness comes from?
Saying that I used to dirt myself when a shadow passed beneath me when swimming in a swimming pool, so maybe I’m just the nervous type? Please tell me that the film Jaws affected you the same way? I’m alright in the pool now, but won’t go out further than the furthest person in the sea, let Jaws take them first!… It’s okay, Mum knows why I always send her ahead when swimming.
My Sunday Photo
Do you have an animal phobia? Go on, I promise I won’t tell…
