This week has been full of lazy days, it’s not often we don’t have much running around to do and I must admit I have enjoyed it.
Last weekend was our Easter weekend and because Neal was working, we didn’t do much apart from going to my parents for a barbecue, which was nice as I didn’t have to cook… I would say that right there, was when the laziness kicked in properly.
The weather hasn’t been too good either this week, so Neal ended up having some days off. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world bank holiday weather is the same. Pretty dreary.
Last Sunday wasn’t only Easter Sunday, but it was the first ‘official’ day of the summer season and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for the rather lost looking tourists that were wandering around probably wondering where all the good weather they’d been reading about had gone!
Apart from one day running around in town (which was a race against the clock), we haven’t done a lot at all.
I’ve even been forcing myself to get up later in the morning… Anytime after seven o’clock is late for me. And when I have got up I’ve not headed out the door for a run or done anything else remotely energetic, instead I’ve sat and I’ve blogged. I have a feeling I’m going to regret that next week when I put the trainers back on, but hey, ho, what’s life without a challenge or two?
We are still very much in our transition time of year. Neal still doesn’t have proper working hours and next week Catherine goes back to school for a full two and a half days before finishing for exams and the summer. And it looks very likely that I’ll be off to the UK for a couple of weeks very soon, so the few lazy days I’ve had this week will probably be my last for a while.
So how has your week been? Have you had a busy one or did you have a few lazy days?
