The #MommyReality Challenge has been running for eighteen weeks now. Time does fly when your having fun! For anyone who doesn’t know what the #MommyReality Challenge is all about, then read on…
Each week Jen and Celeste set a challenge to take a photograph of something specific and to share the photograph online or on social media. You can choose to post just the photo or write a blog post to go with it, it’s really up to you.
The point of the #MommyReality Challenge is to show the world what life is really like for us Mums, to help us realize that we really aren’t all that different from each other.
Now For This Weeks Mommy Reality Challenge…
This week Jen and Celeste have challenged us Mums to go and treat ourselves to something that we really like to drink. Unfortunately I am a simple person, so my entry for this weeks challenge is not very interesting at all (which seems to be becoming a trend!).
I did think long and hard about this one and realized that I rarely drink alcohol, rarely drink fizzy drinks, don’t like shop bought juices/smoothies and I don’t ever crave a drink apart from a decent cup of tea, a black coffee first thing in the morning or a glass of cold fresh milk.
So here is what I would consider a treat…A Decent Cup Of Tea! (with emphasis on the decent!)
I know, it’s so English I am actually embarrassed. And for any family or friends who may just be browsing this post: I am sorry it’s Yorkshire Tea, but they do know how to make a decent cuppa!…I say that because I am from the South West of England, which is nowhere near Yorkshire.
You can keep your Liptons tea and your PG Tips as they are insipid in comparison to Yorkshire Tea. We actually have Yorkshire teabags bought out for us from the UK, as we can’t buy them here. The children aren’t allowed to touch them, I buy them Liptons or PG Tips that we can buy locally!…I am such a selfish mum!
It’s not only the strength and decent taste I like about Yorkshire Tea, but it’s actually designed to brew in hard water (there is also a soft water option too! – Crazy or what?), so there is never any of that scum on the tea that comes from making it with hard water.
It’s probably more of a Sad Mommy Confession than a Challenge! So what would your treat yourself drink be? Why not take a snap and link up with the #mommyreality Challenge!
I hope you enjoyed my post. The Mommy Reality Challenge is just a bit of fun, so why don’t you pop over and check out what other Mums are sharing?
