Colour Popping Flowers & A Photo Bombing Dog
This is the time of year when flowers are at their best over here, everything is in the manic growing phase that happens just before the heat of summer really kicks in and everything stops or dies. Not having green fingers our garden is rather lacking in flowers. I tend to stick with cactus as they love the heat and thrive on neglect. Making them perfect for someone like me.
Anyway, for Easter, a friend of my daughter gave her a lovely red carnation plant and it’s blooming nicely. Whether it gets to see another year after this one, who knows, but for now I am enjoying the splash of colour it adds to the garden.
The other day as I sat on the balcony enjoying a ‘me’ moment, I noticed just how eye-catching the colour was, so grabbed my camera in the hope of having a bit of creative fun capturing the colour popping flowers.
My Sunday Photos
This photo wasn’t as colour popping as I would have liked. The front flower was a little too much in the shade.
I was happier with this photo.
It just goes to show that even dogs have to stop and smell the flowers sometimes.
Is your garden full of an abundance of colour popping flowers?
