True Blue
I’ve been sat here for I don’t know how long trying to come up with a suitable title for this photo. Sometimes titles just come to mind in a flash and at others they just elude. Or is that just me?
Last Sunday the Zakynthos Walking Group met up for the last walk of the ‘winter’. It was a happy-sad event. The week before we had met up for what we thought was our final walk, with a nice meal at a taverna afterwards, but popular demand meant we managed to fit in one more last walk.
We started off at 10 am and it was hot, very hot. The 6km walk turned out to be 8km, but that’s nothing new. One thing I have learned from being part of our walking group is that never trust the walk leaders distances!
We walked around the Korakonisi area of the island, Korakonisi (meaning crow island) being the name of a tiny island which when the sea is calm is accessible on foot. I did take plenty of photos of Korakonisi, but the photo I wanted to share was one I took at one of the viewpoints
One of the bonuses of walking as part of a group is that walk leaders know all the best viewpoints. Derek knows exactly which bunny track is worth following and which is not. The viewpoint I took the photo from was well hidden and could be easily missed. Which would have been a real shame as you will see.
My Sunday Photos
This view was literally behind some bushes and we would never have known.
True blue, the colour of the sea or a song/ album by Madonna. No offence Madonna, but I know which I prefer!
Pumba enjoying a cooling dip in the sea.
What title would you have given this post?
