An Orchid With Character
You wouldn’t know it now, but a couple of weeks ago we thought spring had arrived. Temperatures were up, skies were blue and the flowers were fooled. The spring flowers are still blooming and the birds are still flirting shamelessly albeit in the rain, but spring seems to have left us for now.
It was during those hazy days of faux spring when I saw my first orchid of the year. It just so happened that I had my camera hung around my neck too (what are the odds?), so of course, I took a photograph. I do like orchids and there are several different varieties that grow wild on the Zakynthos.
Unfortunately, I am no expert on their names and even after doing a little online research I’m still unsure of what type of orchid it was.
My Sunday Photo
I do have a slightly overactive imagination, but can anyone else see a mini beast?
I couldn’t stop myself from adding a filter to help bring the little beast alive, I can see a rabbit, turkey, dragonfly hybrid… And it’s laughing. Hard. What do you see?
If you have any idea what species it is, I would love to know.
