Proof That Fairies Exist?
How nice would it be to live in a world where fairies actually do fly free among the trees and flowers? If that were really the case, I’m sure my family would have been driven stir crazy by me stalking anything remotely resembling a fairy… But how do we now that fairies don’t exist?
On a recent walk I may have captured proof that fairies exist… Okay, I’m living in my own little world here, but it wouldn’t hurt to humour me, would it?… And on that recent walk we saw a couple of oh, so delicate flying creatures. They didn’t appear to be butterflies and weren’t quite big or robust enough to be dragonflies (I’m thinking they were probably fairies!).
Their wings where a translucent pale green in colour with a dark pattern and looked so dainty and fragile. They flew in a floaty, flitty fashion and were quite hard to keep track of they were so translucent.
Their tiny wing span must have been two inches or all but, and their body was long similar to that of a butterfly.
Try as I might to identify them, I have had very little success. I’ve Googled mayflies, types of mayflies, butterflies of Greece, Dragon flies… Hang on, I’ve not tried crane fly, but I don’t think their legs were long enough… Just checked and they aren’t…
Have you any idea what they are? If not I’m going to keep believing that my photos are proof that fairies exist.
