Pear Blossom
When I don’t have time to look through photos I’ve taken I transfer them to a folder on my desktop to go through later. Having been a bit short of time recently I seem to have accumulated several folders all saying ‘to be sorted’. I do like to go through photos to see what has worked and what hasn’t.
It’s safe to say that more photos get ditched than kept, but I’m happy with that. It’s the way I learn.
A couple of weeks ago our pear tree was full of beautiful white blossom. Unfortunately, the pears are not very nice to eat. Is it possible they are inedible pears? More for ornamental purposes? The pears drop when they are ripe too, although the tree does look healthy enough. It’s a bit of a mystery, but maybe not if you know your stuff?
Anyway, the tree is pretty to look at when it’s in blossom. And now the blossom has died it is looking beautifully green and healthy. Maybe the fruit will be edible this year? We shall have to wait and see.
My Sunday Photos
I like the way the stamen gave the petals of the pear blossom a freckled look.
The same bunch of blossom photographed through a lens ball. It took a few shots to get the look I wanted, by which time my arm started to ache. Lens balls are not light!
Do you have fruit trees in your garden? Any tips for our pear tree?
