Blackberries On Skopos
For Christmas, I received a 50mm 1.8 lens and I am over the moon with it. I’ve never used a prime lens before, so have spent plenty of time messing around, seeing what it (and I) can do.
Last Sunday the Zakynthos Walking Group headed up to Skopos to blow away the cobwebs and burn a few calories. Usually, I take my 18mm-300mm lens, which I find excellent for our walks, but decided to take the 50mm instead. And was tickled pink by the blurred background effect that can be created using the lens. It’s an effect I like.
It didn’t do too bad taking photos of the scenery either, although I did feel the need to ‘stitch’ a couple of photos together to get a wider angle.
Anyway, there happened to be some blackberries on Skopos. Not nice, big plump ones like we used to pick in the hedgerows in Britain, but colourful enough for me to take a photo of.
My Sunday Photos
I do love the blurred background.
Not sure if it’s normal to see blackberries so late in the year? I’m sure we went blackberry picking in late September in the UK.
Do you have a photo you’d like to share? If so why not pop over and link-up with the My Sunday Photo linky?
