Where Horses Trot
Back in August, I had an unexpected day off, so what did I do? With camera in hand, I headed down to Lagana/Kalamaki beach to see what I could photograph.
I wandered around the sand dunes, snapping random things that caught my eye trying to practice using different focal points in my photos.
As I was wandering along I realised that I was stumbling where the horses trot taking people for rides. I say stumbling because the sand was so dry and uneven it wasn’t easy to walk on. I’m sure the horses find it much easier than I did and I know they look far more graceful than I did. If I wasn’t armed with my camera it would have been odds on that a riding group would have sauntered on by.
Anyway, that didn’t happen.
This week My Sunday Photo is of where the horses trot when they are out trotting. I can imagine that if you are a horse person it must be a lovely experience. As much of an animal lover I am, I’d much rather admire horses from the ground. They always strike me as far too big to be perched upon (I’m not comfortable with heights).
My Sunday Photo
You can clearly see where horses trot, but that morning there was not a horse in sight.
I thought I’d see how the image would look altered. This is how it looked made black and white with a purple tint added. I couldn’t work out how to reduce the glare from the sea though.
This image is plain old black and white, which I liked until I added the purple tint in the image above.
