So You Think You Can Stare Me Out?
Meet Ugg, our not-so-feral-anymore cat. She is a totally different cat to the one that turned up over two years ago with her five kittens. Let’s just say she didn’t get the name Ugg for no reason, although these days I tend to call her Uggles. It seems kinder. She’s certainly come a long way since her feral days and is more than happy to let me stroke her, although she isn’t keen on strangers.
We have five dogs too. Which, as you can imagine can be fun with a cat around. The younger dogs aren’t too worried by her and will only bark at her when the mood takes. However, one of our small older dogs is really wound up by her and will bark, just as long as the cat is out of reach, as soon as she comes within touching distance it’s funny to see her back off.
Ugg has the dogs weighed up though and will often sit just out of their reach giving them the ‘stare’. She doesn’t even bother to raise her hackles anymore, that’s how threatened she feels.

So you think you can stare me out? Says the cat to the dogs…
Do you have cats and dogs? Do they get on or are they archenemies? Who gets the better of a situation? I put my money on the cat!
