Bank Holiday Weather
We’ve all noticed how typically bank holiday weather can be pretty naff. Even here in Greece good bank holiday weather isn’t guaranteed.
Friday here was a big national holiday. The schools were closed for the day. The shops were all closed. And government buildings were closed too. Pretty normal for a big holiday. And despite the recent weather being pretty damned good, with blue skies and warm temperatures, on Thursday the weather took a turn for the worst. And it rained for two whole days!
The weather was so bad that the procession in town was cancelled, then uncancelled, cancelled again, but took place in the end. We dropped our daughter off in town to meet some friends and decided to take the dogs for a walk along the blustery harbour front.
I do quite enjoy an angry sea and the wind blew away the cobwebs (and very nearly the dogs too!). Cameras and bad weather don’t mix, so I left my camera at home. That didn’t stop me taking a photo on my phone, though. It is a little grainy, but I feel it’s only right to share a snap of some bad weather here. I wouldn’t want people thinking it’s all sun and blue skies!
My Sunday Photo
Typical bank holiday weather snapped on my phone, so please excuse the graininess!
Is it typical for bank holiday weather to be bad where you are?
