A Quiet Walk With The Dog
I enjoy a walk with the dog and since we no longer do mid-week walking group walks (which is making the week seem much longer), I’ve been taking the dog out more on his own. Just me, the dog and the camera.
This week we’ve had a couple of nice walks on Kalamaki beach, making the most of the peace and quiet before the crazy season starts.
I don’t normally walk through the woods to the sand dunes, but today it made a nice change.
The obligatory photograph of trees silhouetted by the sun. This picture was taken at midday, even though it looks like evening.
Alphie loves to run free on the beach, but due to reports of poison being put down (sadly not unusual over here and too many animals die because of it), I didn’t let him off his lead, but that didn’t stop him from cooling down in the sea (thank goodness for extendable leads!). At one time he was having a funny five minutes, but I couldn’t photograph him and hold him.
Kalamaki beach is one of the last remaining beaches in the Mediterranean where the Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs. I wonder if they see what we see?
I did enjoy my walk with the dog on Kalamaki beach and I’m sure Alphie enjoyed it just as much.
What places do you enjoy to walk with the dog?
