Oh me, oh my…This weeks Mommy Reality Challenge is a tricky one as I am a natural born hoarder; I don’t find it easy parting with things as you just never know! So for me it was more ‘What shall I snap a picture of?’ (spoiled for choice) rather than ‘Oh no, what can I snap a picture of?’ (nothing to choose from ).
Changes…
I have noticed that there have been a couple of changes to this weeks #MommyReality Challenge; firstly I noticed that the challenge is running in conjunction with a giveaway to celebrate twenty weeks of #MommyReality (it’s been fun!). There are some great items being given away, so why not pop over and sign up for the chance to win and join in the Challenge whilst you’re there?
The other change I noticed is that the Challenge will run for a fortnight instead of a week, giving us more time to join in the fun!
Just in case you don’t know what the Mommy Reality Challenge is all about, it’s all about Mums sharing the reality of their lives in a fun and humorous way. The hosts Jen and Celeste set a now fortnightly photographic challenge asking us Mums to take a photograph of something fun, silly and down right daft in our lives and then to share it in either a post or on social media and link up.
My This Weeks #MommyReality Picture Is A Manky, Old, Nodding Dog…
As I said I don’t part with things easily, so over the years have accumulated all sorts of rubbish, from baby teeth to Noddy books (my children have long outgrown Noddy!).
For this challenge I decided that the worst thing that I can’t part with, even though I know it should have long gone in the bin, is a little nodding plastic dog that sits in the car. It has long lost it’s nod. It has no nose and it’s ‘fur’ looks more like mange than fur and to be quite frank if it were a real dog it would have long been put out of it’s misery. But I really can’t part with it…
Why?…
Because my sister gave it to me for Christmas a few years back and I loved it. It’s the simple things in life that give me the most pleasure!..So time to share my sad looking no longer nodding dog…
I warned you it was bad, I may even be shamed into finally parting with it! I promise you though that our pet dogs look a lot better than this.
So now that you’ve checked out this post why not pop over to the #MommyReality link up post and check out what other Mums can’t bring them selves to part with.
