Monday Morning Blog Club 01/05/17
Good morning people and fellow bloggers!
How are you after the weekend? All relaxed and ready for the week ahead? I do hope so. What better way to start the week than with a bank holiday?
Well, May 1st is here and for us on Zakynthos that means it is officially the start of the summer season. We do have EasyJet fly to the island throughout April, but May 1st is the day when the package holiday flights start in coming on a daily basis. The transition between the winter and summer season is difficult for everyone as routines change so quickly, and most people work long hours seven days a week.
This year my husband has changed jobs and is working as a night barman in a nice family run establishment. He started last Sunday as the place takes early bookings and that has meant a big change for all of us this last week. There has been a big change to our routine and there have been days when my head is spinning from dropping off and picking up the off-spring. Usually, it’s my husband who does any late pickups as I’m the early bird and my brain stops working after seven in the evening, but twice this week I’ve found myself getting in the car at ten thirty at night.
It really makes me realise how good the public transport system is in the UK!… Our daughter turns eighteen next January, I think driving lessons will be a must!
Are there times of the year that your routines has to change?
Some of you may have read last week that my son desperately needs to put on some weight and that I have been encouraging him to eat more often. Well, the brilliant news is that in the first week he put on four kilogrammes! I couldn’t believe it. The scales may not be 100% accurate, but I double checked the reading both times. I feel like I am constantly in the kitchen, but he is looking so much better for it.
His second weeks’ weigh-in is today and whilst I don’t expect him to have gained so much weight I do hope he has managed to gain some.
The Monday Morning Blog Club 01/05/17 is a link up co-hosted by myself and the lovely Jayne, from Sticky Mud And Belly Laughs. Just link up your blog URL and let others do the browsing. I do hope you will join us.
The #MMBC link up goes live at 8.00am (UK time) every Monday morning and stays open until 11.55 pm the same day.
The Rules Are Simple…
- Add your blog URL (not individual posts please) to the link up below.
- Read and comment on at least a couple of other blogs of your choice.
That’s all you have to do. Jayne and I will go through, comment and share all the linked up blogs between us.
It would be fantastic if you could help spread the word of the #MMBC by including the hashtag in your comments and tweets. If you’d like a RT just tag me and Jayne in your Tweets with the hashtag (@ChirpyDebs, @SMABLblog #MMBC) and we will endeavour to RT them all.
