Daisies, Daisies…
Spring has to be my favourite season. It’s when nature starts waking up from its winter slumber. Everywhere you look there is are signs that winter is over. Trees are starting to blossom. Flowers are starting to bloom. Even lizards are starting to make an appearance. It’s wonderful and I hope I never stop noticing.
In the hills, we are starting to see patches of daisies. Huge patches of white that from a distance looks like a light smattering of snow. I can’t see them and not be reminded of the book Heidi, with Peters goats wandering around a mountainside covered with the pretty white flowers. Or of time spent making daisy chains as a child. Do children still do that?
My Sunday Photo
I tried to capture what I see, but it’s not quite right. Can you see the fly photobombing my picture?
I felt that the original photo didn’t quite capture the prettiness of the daisies as I saw them, so I added a filter.
What is your favourite thing about spring?
